Beirut –January 11, 2018– In line with its strategy to support the Educational Sector and the Lebanese youth, Bank of Beirut signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International College Alumni Association by launching the ICAA Affinity Credit Card, whereby a portion of the revenue will be channeled to support the ICAA mission and activities. By signing this MOU, an additional prime Lebanese educational institution has joined the Bank’s six existing Affinity partnerships with LAU, USEK, NDU, USJ, AUST and Antonine University. 

The MOU was signed at the International College by Dr. Salim G. Sfeir, Chairman – CEO of Bank of Beirut and Mr. Imad El Khalil, President of the International College Alumni Association. The ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Sheikh Anwar El Khalil, Mr. Moufid Baydoun - IC Vice-President for Alumni & Development, ICCA members and IC Alumni.  Mr. George Aouad - Head of the Consumer Banking Division at Bank of Beirut, and Bank’s Executive Officers have also attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Mr. Imad Al Khalil expressed IC’s pride to partner with Bank of Beirut by introducing the ICAA Affinity Card, hoping that this initiative will develop into further collaboration in more fields provided by Bank of Beirut to the International College Alumni.  

In turn, Dr. Sfeir stated that Bank of Beirut is proud to join forces with the International College, especially that both institutions share a common responsibility towards Lebanon and its future generations”, reiterating Bank of Beirut’s profound commitment to supporting the Lebanese youth.

The speeches were followed by a presentation by Mr. Georges Aouad elaborating the features and benefits of the new Affinity Credit Card offered to the IC Alumni Community by virtue of the new MOU, and which earnings will be partly channeled to support the ICAA social, cultural, educational and sports activities.

Following the MOU signature, Bank of Beirut presented the new Affinity Card to H.E. Sheikh Anwar El Khalil and to the ICAA Council members. The event was then concluded with a cocktail reception.
